While I wouldn't go so far as to say this is an awesome game, if you like sci-fi and don't mind gears of war type shooters, then it's a great deal at under $10. Most of the "top" games on PS3 I've never really been able to play for too long, yeah, they're good, but they require a commitment of time I just don't have. What ultimately matters in a game is whether it's fun, and at that, I'd say this game succeeds, not on the same level as Uncharted 2, but it's not as bad as some other reviewers stated. In some ways, it reminds me of a really good arcade game that got ported over.Maybe if someone picked this up at $60 I could see some complaints, or if they expected a Star Control 2 style of gameplay of exploring and interacting with the universe but instead got a Mass Effect/Gears of War type shooter, but I picked it up at $10, had very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised at that fact that the story drew me in more than the two films of this re-boot did. I haven't finished it yet, but I actually think the story in this game is pretty good and the game isn't too difficult where you get frustrated, and if you put it on the easy setting, you kind of just breeze right through it and get to enjoy the story.Another review said graphics were "PS2" quality. Not sure if that's really true as I never owned a PS2, and although the graphics aren't the best I've seen, they're definitely not bad and I'm used to xone and ps4 graphics now and don't see that big of a difference here between this, and most other ps3 games. I do get the complaint about the shooting scene in space, and some of the puzzles are a bit tedious, but they're not hard, again, as long as you're not expecting star control 2, you'll probably enjoy the ride (which is what this essentially is, a ride through the re-boot's universe).If you're into the sci-fi genre, I'd recommend picking it up as at $10, can't really complain as it's a pretty good deal for what you get.
