GREAT!! I was on the fence for awhile on this one seeing how I owned the original. You wonder, "What's the point?" The CHARACTERS!!! Now, this didn't get a 5 because I'm not a fan of this "Let's add a handful of new characters and release it like a new game." trend that's popping up. This effectively turns the original game into a table coaster or something for a woodshop class. For the most part, this is much of the same game as it's predecessor. The addition of Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, Firebrand, Frank West, Nemesis, Phoenix Wright (no type-o), Strider Hiryu and Vergil as well as Galactus in a new playable mode is all nice. The new characters are almost epic to have in a fighting game. I mean, Doctor Strange?? Phoenix Wright?? Don't be fooled with that last one. If you can manage to collect all the evidence and slap someone with an "Objection!!", he becomes a true contender. I must say, once I slapped my friend (who'd only played the first one) with the "Objection!!" and to see his face drop was pretty gratifying. Almost as gratifying as destroying him with Phoneix's Ultimate move. Great add. All the other characters are nice. Nemesis is a bit cheap. Super strong, but suffers with a lack of speed. But, fairly balanced fighter over all. All the characters demand a different play style and approach. I'm not too sure who Rocket Raccoon is, but he's loads of fun to play with. I'm happy with the $$s spent for this.Everyone looks great and you can get lost in the backgrounds. Fast, fluid and shiny stuff everywhere. The Heroes and Heralds mode is a nice free add to the game. It puts a nice spin on the fighting element. If you don't have the first one, good. Get this one. If you have the first one and you love it, Get this one, especially if you play with friends or family. The Simple mode is enough to allow just about anyone have fun and others to get a challenge. Welcome back MVC!Even though it hasn't been that long since Capcom released Marvel VS Capcom 3, here we are already with Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3; an update that gives us a handful of new fighters, new modes, and a more balanced fighting engine to boot. Essentially what Super Street Fighter IV is to Street Fighter IV, UMvC3 throws in some additional fighters like Ghost Rider, Phoenix Wright, Frank West, Nemesis, Doctor Strange, Nova, and more besides (plus the two downloadable content characters, Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine). There's also the ability to play as Galactus in Arcade mode, some new special moves, backgrounds, and extras. The real star here besides the new fighter additions is that there have been some slight revamps to the fighting engine. Things just feel and play more balanced than they did the last time around (i.e., no more getting slaughtered everytime Phoenix turns into "Dark" Phoenix), even though the option between "Simple" and "Normal" controls still feels overly cheap. All in all, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 is as much of a blast as it was the last time around, but whether or not its worth laying down the cash for is entirely up to you in the end.I have owned the xbox 360 version of MVC3 and when I gave my xbox 360 away, I didn't buy a second copy of MVC3 on my PS3. I quietly waited for the UMVC 3 to release, despite getting 0 practice time and getting my bottoms beaten to bloody pulp by my peers. Shipping was fast, and the bonus code from pre-order worked without a hiccup. I have played the previous title plenty of times to know that this is pretty much a brand new game in itself. If you did follow the updates/reviews on different websites, you will know that many things have changed. Not everything has changed from the previous version; some characters got a new move or two, some can't do what they used to before, and they decided to add 12 new characters. Capcom stepped it up this time because I remember when players had to upgrade from Street Fighter 4 to Super Street Fighter 4, then buy another copy of Super Street Fighter 4 AE, they were a bit furious due to not so many elements of the games changing. If my review has gotten few facts wrong about the game, I apologize since I had to work all night then get good amount of play time in. Enjoy!Being a fan of the Vs. series from Capcom this purchase was a no brainer. I waited until the last moment though. Literally picked up the DLC the night before it was taken down and then bought this. So was it worth it? I'd say it was but not everyone seems to agree. They weren't able to include all the fans requests( X, cyclops, and some others of course) but the game itself feels right I think. I had a blast unlocking all the endings and even though I'd get my butt handed to me by the pros it didn't stop me from feeling like I had skill to contend with. I'd say there is a character for everybody in this game skill wise. If you haven't played this yet then you definitely should. It improves over the previous and even without the DLC there's still a lot to experience here. In fact, I'd say the DLC is for extreme fans of either Capcom or Marvel (face it your money went to both).Seller : BooyahChicago, Delivery time : 9 days, Price : 6863 (High due to some licensing problem I hope), I must say the seller is very good. Imported game runs fine on ps3 (India). A nice game to my library :) .Well if you're buying this you already know what you're getting most likely. Otherwise, great game to play online or with friends. Careful...gets really competitive.Les chargement sont vraiment long, mais le jeu est bien fun. Si ce n'est peut-etre une difficulté très élevée qui peut rebuter. In good condition, nice game. ThanksBest effing MvsC game ever!
