I cleaned off the finger prints already. Thankfully the disc is in great condition. ?Here's the thing about this game. It is a generic action game. The combat is just as shallow as God of War or any other action game. The level design and game progression are totally obligatory as if the developers themselves where transcribing Level Design for Dummies. All that is fine. The thing that brings the design above generic is the heart. I care a lot about how much heart goes into a game. High Moon spent time and money on things that are frivolous. Now, that's not necessarily a good thing mind you; but, I become a good thing when the frivolous expenditures are for the player's sake. Models are created for throwaway gags, animations are made, sounds are fabricated, and voice work had to be done all for the sake of entertaining us, the players; all things that could have been glossed over and ignored for the sake of time and money. So in this sense, the design of the game itself is elevated above average. No here's the thing about Deadpool. I was hesitant to play this game because I felt that it would be a really long version of something. Have you seen The Simpsons Movie or Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie? If so, I believe you can relate to me looking at our watches during the film thinking, "I still have that much more to go?" That's what I was afraid of. While Deadpool flirts dangerously close to that (and would definitely get that it very well may for others), I finished Deadpool without feeling that sense of fatigue. With that concern out of the way, I must report that Deadpool is a complete delight and High Moon did something I've never seen anyone else do. Deadpool was the first time that could I relate to such an off-the-wall character. The brilliant way they did this was by never forcibly understand the character, nay. There is no arbitrary narrative dictating to us why Deadpool acts the way he acts. Instead, we simply watch events as Deadpool. That's it. Whenever we watching the X-Men, we might see someone like Deadpool and reflect on how annoying they're being. Now that we get to watch Deadpool, everyone else is a cameo and relative events are just coincidence. Aside from phenomenal character exposition (or lack thereof), the comedy is actually good. I was caught off guard and laughed out loud a few times, much to the chagrin of my nominally stoic facade. The only negative things I would really have to criticize the game about would be the upgrades and bosses. Firstly, however the artist in charge of the upgrade window totally dropped the ball, and I kinda think he worked remotely or for a different company altogether. A lot of the attitude and flamboyant tone of the game is wholly absent from this menu. The highlight around what your selection is slightly more visible that the background, which can be a strain at times, and there is a distinct lack of animations or any user-friendly screen transitions; it's all just really jarring 90's era menu design. The only saving grace from this screen is the comedy. Secondly, there are no nuanced or creative things about the boss fights to balance how horrible they are. In conclusion, Deadpool is a very fun game. As games are meant to be.An over the top game for a way over the top character. Deadpool the movie was funny beyond words and generally video games made to parody movies usually suck! However I am pleased to inform you that Deadpool the video game is one of those rare instances where this video game actually better than the movie. Deadpool in this video game outing is at his completely insane comedic best. Unlike Duke Nukem which I love Deadpool brings a more realistic bent to his humor. Deadpool the video game speaks to the gamer as if he is along for the ride. Deadpool clues the gamer into his antics making you feel as if you are a co-conspirator in his antics. Deadpool is not done in good taste but unlike Duke Nukem Deadpool does not try so hard to be over the top that it just ends up being vulgar.Deadpool is vulgar, camp and over the top but done in such a way that never feels forced. Deadpool is what happens if you give a repressed picked on child super powers. Deadpool is not about scoring babes it is more about him having fun and he enjoys whatever challenge comes his way. Deadpool is one of the X-Men but he feels as if he might be a second tier character. He has issues with the other X-Men that he loves and respects yet he is conflicted. I share this with you because, the narrative of this video game is special it offers insight not just game play. The insight you gain about the X-Men universe while playing this Deadpool game is funny and addicting. This is video gaming the way Deadpool thinks it should be. You are for a minute taken back to older 8\16bit gaming. Side scroll gaming and such. The leveling system is a bit flawed. The game is hard in parts because the in game controls aren't well designed. Deadpool does not respect you the player as it shows in weird fun ways. There is a good bit of juvenile humor but not crude and not to the extent found in Duke Nukem.I took a star off for the wonky controls, the over use of unending enemy waves and the uneven leveling system. However the game is solid fun. There are plenty of trophies and replay value is pretty good. Deadpool is fun and if you can believe it the video game is funnier than the Deadpool movie. This is the first video game I have ever played that actually succeeds in a smashing way at the art of comedy. Deadpool made me laugh so many times during my game play I lost count. Thats what makes Deadpool better than Duke Nukem, Deadpool is having fun real fun! Deadpool does not mind if you think he is gay, bi or whatever he just loves having fun and best of all Deadpool seems to enjoy that you are at the controls despite all his player abuse. This game was a true joy to play and I NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD PLAYING A VIDEO GAME IN ALL MY BORN PUT TOGETHERS!La versione UK è multilingua, questa versione qui è solo Inglese/Francese o Inlese/SPagnolo, basta controllare il codice BLUS sul lato della confezione e ve lo dice. Recomendado solo para fans.I swear, this game is next to impossible to find (which totally makes sense, it's Deadpool) so finally getting my hands on it was pretty frickin' awesome in itself. Game came within a decent amount of time, and it was basically everything I was looking for.Awesome game thanksAwesome game love it
