This game is totally worth buying. It's imaginative and a ton of fun to play. My 3 and 6 year old love this game and you can play cooperatively together with up to 4 players. The music levels are so satisfying when you complete them that we've played them multiple times. The game mechanics are pretty simple, which makes it easy for young kids and novice gamers. All you do is run, jump, and attack. But the game has several 'worlds' each with several levels and every world is almost like a different game. The creativity in level design and the artwork are pretty amazing. The first title in this series, Rayman Origins, was also really good but Legends is even better. One bit of warning is that Legends ramps up the difficulty pretty quickly as you progress through the levels but you should be able to get through it without losing your patience. This is in part helped by the fact that the game has many checkpoints throughout each level so you don't have to restart at the beginning each time. If you play Rayman Origins first it will probably help you master Legends more quickly but it's not a pre-requisite. If you're only going to get one of them definitely get Rayman Legends.Last thing to note is that the one flaw in this game is that it only creates one save file at a time. So when the menu loads if you accidentally hit new game instead of continue, which is easy to do since the options are adjancent to each other, it will immediately overwrite your saved game and you'll be starting all over again. A good thing to do is periodically copy your save game file to a USB drive or online storage so that if you accidentally start a new game you can restore your previous save. This will spare you the pain of losing all your progress.
