This 2016-17 version of the game continues the excellent features and gameplay of the NBA 2K franchise, I've had many versions over the years ever since the first one. And to be honest - I also bought it because Kobe is on the box cover (for the last time), but when you fire up the game in the console you actually see Paul George on the start screen. Whatever,...it's just a start screen - but the game itself is still fun to play. Graphics are top notch, animations and gameplay are crisp and realistic. The inclusion of past superstar teams (i.e. the Shaq and Kobe era) add to the fun, but I really didn't care much for the Euroleague teams since most of the players are unknown for me. Also, the My Career mode is challenging and very in depth; I could stand for a few less cut scenes but it makes sense that they're there to move the story along. Finally, as is every year, the 2K team compiled an excellent selection of background music. Even if Kevin Durant is in the game, I'll still give it 5 stars.
