I have been a huge fan of the Saw franchise since opening day of the original movie, so naturally, when I heard a video game was coming out, I was both skeptical and excited. How would it work? Who would be the main character?I started seeing trailers and screen shots while it was in development and naturally was concerned because Tobin Bell was the only returning voice actor (and thank God for that) but also because it looked like it was simply a movie tie in, because it was coming out so close to 2010's Saw film. But I was wrong.I won't rehash the story since it's been posted so many times but I did find it to be a compelling one worthy of the Saw universe, and loved the case files and audio tapes you find scattered through the asylum. It reminded me of Silent Hill, which is hands down my favorite horror franchise of all time. I thought the graphics were great and the atmosphere was genuinely spooky, though the game did freeze on occasion and checkpoint placement was spotty. The new voice actors do a well enough job, but it would have been nice to get Danny Glover back at least. As usual, Tobin Bell is amazing as Jigsaw and I loved hearing his speeches on morality and the value of human life.Combat is sketchy, though, slow to respond with anything but your fists, and the puzzles can become diabolically difficult (but no where near the extent to those of the sequel, Saw II: Flesh and Blood.) This is not a survival horror game- it has elements of survival, I.e. being able to set traps for your enemies and combat, but the overall focus is on puzzle solving, which I am not particularly good at, yet somehow managed to decode and beat the game. I even find myself replaying it, simply because I enjoyed my journey through my own Jigsaw traps. This game was not well received by critics and I can understand why. It is definitely a game that caters to fans of the film, which could be why I like it so much. While flawed, there are plenty of elements to this game that make it worth visiting at least once if you're a puzzle gamer with horror elements. If you aren't, you won't find much here to enjoy.I am just going to come out and say it, I am a saw fan, like a really big saw fan. So when I heard that they were making a game, I couldn't wait and I think the wait was worth it. Now before I continue you should know that this is not a game to revolutionize games, its just a really fun puzzle game. Let's start with the puzzles. The puzzles are of a good variety from manipulating rooms to find the combination, manipulating your perspective so you know which way to go, and pretty much all of the traps that you have come to love from the saw movies. Some of these will challenge you, and actually make you think, because you will have to really change the way you look at some of these puzzles in order to finish them.Another part is the combat. Now its not the best set up, but you get used to it. The character does hit a little slow, but that did not stop me from finishing it. You will use weapons from the nail bat, shovel, scalpel, and a revolver. Also you will find schematics in order to create traps, you can also disarm and rearm the shotgun trip wire traps for anyone that might be following you. I will say that you will be picking locks, setting fuses, and shutting off gas pipes a good amount. This is the repetitive part of the game, but its not that bad.I should mention that this is probably a game for saw fans only. That is because unless you like the story, characters, and all around saw atmosphere, you might not be able to get past the less then perfect combat or some of the repetitive puzzles. But I will tell you why you should give it a try anyway. One is the length, this is one of the few games with a good length in the campaign so you will not be done in like three hours. Another reason is the trophies, if you are looking for trophies then this is your game. I finished the game today and only needed one more trophy before a platinum. So even if the saw movies aren't you thing, go out and try this game because you will never know until you try it.I bought this game new back when it first came out from Wally World and loved it ever since. Years later (now) I wanted to play this game again but it wasn't available for the ps4 and my old 1st gen ps3 no longer worked so I managed to borrow and ps3 and buy the game from amazon. Waiting for it to arrive I was thinking that maybe the nostalgia of playing this in 2009 when my daughter was first born may be the reason I think I loved this game so much, and while that is true, this is still one great game to me! The combat is wonky and takes some getting used to but that's like every other game, right? The story is about David Tapp and we pick up after he lost his mind from chasing jigsaw and his partner dying. The traps are true to the movies, the story isn't an exact replica of one of the movies but it's based around them and has some of the people in the game too. Digging your hand into a needled filled toilet to find something is still as awesome now as it was back then! This is basically a puzzle game and that alone can be frustrating, but if you liked the saw movies I would say give it a try! Graphics are also still fairly good too. 9/10 because I enjoy it so much. As describedArrived before deadlineProduto em bom estado.Excellent no problem what so ever fast fast shipping very pleased !
