(NO SPOILERS)Bayonetta, oh, Bayonetta...This game is perfect in every way, it's funny, action-packed,...appealing..., and even sad.I was so happy that I bought this game, and still am.I want to correct things that people have said about this game, although I did patch the game before I played it.People have been saying this game has Framerate issues, screen-tearing, and bad graphics...the sad thing is that this is all in "Comparison to X-Box 360"....Haha, here is the thing, I don't have an X-Box 360, nor do I ever plan to even think about wanting one, but I'm not going to pay $300+ just to buy the same game again to compare them. If you have the money to do this, then all the power to you...but...don't do this, buy another game or something useful to your life instead, which excludes the same game.Don't get me wrong, I'm not a "Fanboy" and I don't like them on either "side"(...well its not that I don't like them, its just that everyone has their well-deserved opinion on things, and they shouldn't criticize others for not agreeing with them.)And if people say the X-Box 360 version is better, then I condone you in getting that version if you have an X-Box, Because its all about getting whats right for you and your wallet. But anyways the PS3 version, with no comparison, is great.I only noticed one screen-tear, the funny thing is when I heard people experiencing "Screen-tearing", I was like wow the whole game screen must just rip and tear...That's not the case: It was a little, tiny scrape next to one of the characters in a movie scene, and trust me it didn't matter the least, it ended in 1 second tops.I only noticed one Framerate issue, in a section of a chapter. It didn't make me die, all it did was slow down game-play...Didn't matter the least. And the graphics, well no explanation needed there...They are pefect. It was a long correction but I felt you needed to hear them. Now on to the review: xDPeople say the story is cliche, nothing new, boring, stupid...But no, well sometimes it might not make sense if you go back and think about it, but no. It's great, not even cliche...I think its because it surprised me at how funny and sad-at-times it was...It just made it such a different and unique game, in the greatest way possible. They also say you can skip all the movie scenes and still play the game like nothing happened, well that's partly not true...Now that I think about it the movie scenes were probably the best part. For me, gameplay and the movies are both great, but as I reminisce, it seems like I played the game to get to the next movie scene...Which is great because the movie scenes were so good, but after I beat the game, I watched/skipped the movies to get to the gameplay, which was also great the first time 'round too, it's a win win. I can't see how one would skip the movies. The game is about 10-12 hours long, but its also kind of hard...But that's a good thing. With this kind of game, it would actually BE boring and tedious to be EASY, though its NOT boring and tedious when you play on Very Easy / Easy, I'm just saying. This game has Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Non-Stop Infinite Climax difficulty modes. As you choose harder difficulties, bosses that you met later in the game of Normal, will be foes you encounter early-on in Hard/Non-Stop.This game has a variety of weapons including Laser Pistols, Fire/Lightning claws and even Ice Skates (You actually skate around on them)! That's not even half of the weapons you can get (You get weapons by collecting special discs, or enough disc-pieces to become a whole one, then they will unlock weapons at the store.)You can buy Costumes, Accessories, Items and even Techniques. The items, accessories and techniques are actually all useful, instead of just being there for no reason.Bayonetta has hidden Alfheim Portals, which are portals to mini-games, and they consist that you kill a set number of enemies in a certain way, it's a special challenge and has nothing to do with the main story. And last but not least, some people will probably find some scenes a little adult-ish for kids, although I found it extremely funny and cool, it's no nudity besides when she summons her mega-demons after a bossfight, which is partial. But once you beat the game, and unlock costume-buying options, the costumes you wear won't deplete her clothes, meaning no partial nudity either, but other than those few scenes it should be ok depending on your views, also they use the S word and F word kinda-commonly, the S word more. All in all I can't express the love I have for this game at the end of the day, I enjoyed it from press Play, all the way to the end of the credits, and them some, the credits were great by the way!Its just almost my favorite game out of things like Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy! Some of you might look me in the face and just headbutt me, but that's just how much I love Bayonetta.I hope you all enjoy this game, it is definitely worth $40, even $60!
